It traces the philosophical underpinnings of the way of life that Guru Nanak taught us – meditating, earning through hard work, and sharing with others. Guru Nanak’s unique mantra maximises human welfare by striking an optimal combination of a householder’s life with attainment of highest levels of spiritual standards.  Guru Nanak’s preaching in different geographical regions and interaction with diverse spiritualists at various pilgrimages emphasised on raising consciousness by cultivating the mind. The book discusses the increasing relevance during the contemporary period of the economic and social model of Guru Nanak, minted at Kartarpur, where he finally settled after long travels, about 500 years ago.
